Position: ER RN - Varied Shifts Start Date: ASAP Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Shift Times/Schedule: Varied - will work both Days and Nights - Shift: Varied - 8, 10 or 12 hours depending on need Licensure: *OH RN Required* Certifications: *Active ACLS, PALS, and TCNN Required* Weekend/On Call Requirements: Call Expectations: Yes, possibly 2 per four week schedule ; Weekend rotation & Holiday coverage will be expected Floating Requirements: May float to Gallipolis if needed Additional Notes: JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse will work under the supervision of the Unit Manager following the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of practice, and code of ethics (see attachment) within a Patient and Family Centered Care Model. These standards include: PRIMARY JOB DUTIES Assessment- collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation. Nursing diagnosis- analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues. Outcomes identification- identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation. Planning- develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes. Implementation- implements the identified plan. Coordination of care (delegating) Health teaching and health promotion Evaluation- evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes. ANA Standards of Professional Practice: Quality of practice- systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Education- attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice. Professional practice evaluation- evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. Collegiality- interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. Collaboration- collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice. Ethics-integrated ethical provisions in all areas of practice. Research-integrates research findings into practice. Resource utilization-considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of nursing services. Leadership-provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. Patient and Family Centered Care -Dignity and respect, Information sharing, Participation, Collaboration Performs other duties as assigned.
