Building Maintenance Engineer (30-90 Day Assignment)
The Building Maintenance Technician is a vital part of a team that performs building operations, customer service, and community enhancement. The Building Maintenance Technician will complete, or assist with, tasks related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other building trades work within a commercial building. Daily duties will consist of working with the property management team and building engineering staff to perform preventive maintenance tasks, respond to service tickets, and provide a safe working environment for building tenants and visitors.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:· Perform building and systems inspections. Make required modifications to building systems to satisfactorily support all tenants· Complete Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance requests in a professional manner· Work with building vendors to complete contracted work orders and meet customer expectations· Maintain records, reports, evaluations, and provide recommendations regarding building maintenance operations as needed· Identify parts, materials, equipment, and supplies that need to be ordered, and assist with acquisition· Manage Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System (EMS) as directed by Lead/Chief Engineer· Maintains a clean building engineering shop, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and building appearance· Follow all safety rules and regulations· Performs related work as required QUALIFICATIONS: · Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with heat pumps· Experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing and repairing equipment · Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and operate Building Automation Systems with training· High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English· Available to occasionally work overtime hours to perform repairs or maintenance that is necessary to complete during off hours· Must meet the requirements of the occupation such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing 30 ft. ladders.· Must have reliable transportation· Must be team oriented · CFC License
