Local agency is currently seeking a dependable, compassionate, and skilled professional to provide 1 to 1 supports for adults and children who experience mental health challenges and/or intellectual disabilities.
Job requirements may include, but not limited to:
--Must possess creativity in client service delivery, honesty, and exceptional work ethic;
--Must provide a wealth of resources: such as social networking, gaming, gardening, cooking and/or any creative activities that meets the need for adult DD customers to explore;
--Assisting in behavioral and personal care services to adults with developmental disabilities that will enable him/her to reach his/her fullest potential and improve behavior, academic, social and/or functional skills.
-- Assistance with any activity of daily living and skill building as outlined in the contract;
--Support skill acquisition in all areas as well as the reduction of challenging and interfering behaviors;
--Recreation and leisure activities, teaching functional communication, implementation of behavior plans, achieving increased independence, productivity, strengthen social skills, personal safety and inclusion in the community;
--Excellent communication skills in relating to the individual and in submitting required information to Program Coordinator.

Schedule:
Schedule varies and need to be flexible. However, the schedule is dictated by the client’s needs. Life Skill Coaches and clients work together to set up the work schedule. This may benefit those who have a second job, or who is looking to expand their experience within the field and may progress with their work hours.
Required qualifications:
High School Diploma;
Must be able to pass a background check;
First Aid/ CPR certification,; CPR class is given if you are not certified
Valid driver license must have reliable transportation available to transport client.
Experience working with mental health challenges and/or intellectual disabled client, a plus.
