    Job Title:Social Worker, .6FTE
    Kent ISD Adult Education

    Job Qualifications:
    1. Masters Degree in Social Work.
    2. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred. Proficient verbal and written communications in English and Spanish.
    3. Proven work experience as an employment facilitator serving adults with diverse backgrounds and barriers.
    4. Demonstrates a strong commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities. Demonstrates the ability to examine the impact of education inequities in student achievement outcomes as it aligns with race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.
    Skills:
    1. Computer skills using common office software and Internet.
    2. Knowledge with using as CASAS.
    3. Proven communication and organizational skills that contribute to a quality work environment as part of a team.
    4. Ability to motivate participants to obtain their set goals.
    5. Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with program staff, students, and community.
    6. Demonstrated ability in working in a cross-functional team and a collaborative learning centered environment.
    7. Ability to organize work, handles multiple tasks, and meets timelines in a multi-project environment
    8. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    9. High level of energy, enthusiasm and the ability to be innovative and creative
    10. Excellent organizational, problem solving and good reasoning skiffs.
    11. Proven initiative and ability to follow through on multiple projects in a timely manner.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Provide information and opportunities to Adult Learners.
    2. Organize employment opportunities, which include but are not limited to:
    3. The development of a customized employment plan for each participant.
    4. A determination of participant's career guidance and job readiness suitability for the type of training needed.
    5. Facilitate group work in workshop and small group formats.
    6. Provide case management services for program participants, including:
    7. Identify people who need help
    8. Assess clients' needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goal
    9. Develop plans to improve their clients' well-being
    10. Research and refer clients to community resources, such as food stamps, child care, and health care
    11. Track grant participants who have been referred to other agencies or departments.
    12. Administer participant support services system.
    13. Document and maintain individual participant files and hard copies.
    14. Develop employment leads/placements with Prosperity Region 4 partners.
    15. Monitor overall participant performance in activities adult learning activities.
    16. Follow up with clients to ensure that their situations have improved
    17. Coordinate and monitor participants' attendance with facilitators and data entry staff.
    18. Evaluate services provided to ensure that they are effective
    19. Attend meetings as required.
    20. Other duties as assigned.
    21. Project a professional image including punctuality, dependability and good attendance records
    22. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
    23. Willingness and ability to learn the adult education system.

    Salary: Step 3 of the Adult Education salary schedule = $22,525.80 per year (for .6 FTE)
