Purpose of Position: To support and implement store marketing strategies and objectives as developed by the Executive Team to further a consistently positive and professional image of Harvest Market's brand and mission, as well as departmental marketing objectives. Key areas of responsibility: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: ● Manages regular and monthly promotions supporting Harvest Market's image and branding goals which includes: o Communicates and collaborates with department managers to plan monthly promotions, coordinates marketing calendar o Creates web slides and lane advertising with updated signage in coordination with the Grocery Department Manager o Updates newsletter and Facebook headers for monthly promotions ● Designs and creates all in store and web signage supporting Harvest Markets image and branding goals which includes: o New Product Fridays o Wellness Wednesday o Kitchen signage (excluding product signs) ● Creates ad copy, designs and coordinates print advertising to ensure consistency in branding guidelines and established style guide. Works with publication representatives as needed. ● Manages social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube) o Edit and coordinate content for website, blog, e-newsletter and social media platforms focused on store happenings. Information is pulled from multiple resources including staff, buyers (new products, video), community and natural foods industry sites, including product specials, features, as well as educational, health industry news to promote an engaging, informative and relevant web presence to the marketplace and general public. o Closely review sources for accuracy, with attention to image copyright. ● Creates and manages website blog postings on a regular basis with current and timely content which includes soliciting blog ideas from departmental managers/buyers. Coordinates home page slider and updates lane advertising to maintain fresh and engaging imagery that is relevant with happenings in the departments/store. ● Maintains current Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for website. ● Complies and distributes the monthly customer e-newsletter by the first week of each month. Creates links to direct traffic to blog posts and departmental pages on the website. ● Utilizes Wordpress, Google, Constant Contact analytics and social media metrics to monitor usage and generate monthly reports to Executive Team. ● Creates relationships with media and print outlets to ensure Harvest Market's visibility in the community and surrounding areas. ● Coordinates and publicizes special events, such as Non-GMO month. ● Develops and manages co-op dollar program with department buyers and eligible vendors based on promotional calendar. Designs and creates associated signage. ● Designs and coordinates EDDM program. ● Orders branded supplies and merchandise including magnets, business cards, rack cards, toppers, bags and staff apparel based on inventory needs and budgetary limitations. ● Forwards requests for donations and builds gift baskets for events and raffles. ● Conducts customer surveys as discussed with the Executive Team. ● Supports any long-term marketing goals.
Qualifications: ● 3 plus years of marketing/branding experience. ● Positive, outgoing and professional demeanor with the ability to passionately represent and communicate the mission of Harvest Market, as well as the general principles of sustainable agriculture and the local, organic food movement. ● Collaborative leadership style. ● Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills. ● Proficiency with MAC computer skills, familiarity with Adobe Suite products. ● Strong organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail. ● Strong work ethic with exceptional communication and presentation skills. ● Must demonstrate competence in promoting products and events, and target marketing to specific prospects. ● Ability to work under the guidelines and directives of the General Manager and the Executive Team.
