                      Job Description

                      CLGT Solutions, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused upon providing professional solutions in the areas of training and talent acquisition. This position is not a current requirement; it is for a proposal. We are currently seeking Linguists to provide transcription, translation and interpretation services in a location outside of the United States. This opportunity may require an estimated 5 weeks of mandatory CONUS training.

                      • Provide complete, accurate, and reliable English translations of technical and non-technical material from a variety of sources from Japanese to English and vice versa, with the meaning, intent, and integrity of the original source preserved
                      • Provide effective and accurate real-time consecutive interpretation including colloquial, military, and slang words/phrases that may alter the meaning as required
                      • Provide accurate translation
                      • Provide the cultural and ethnic context of conversational engagements and provide information regarding the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, documents, etc
                      • Provide cultural familiarization and intercultural awareness advisory support
                      • Have technical knowledge or familiarity of political, military, STEM, chemical, biological or nuclear terminology

                      Education, Experience, & Requirements

                      • Must be a U.S. Citizen
                      • Must have a Top-Secret Clearance; TS/SCI is preferred
                      • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain SCI
                      • Must be willing and able to go through a Counterintelligence interview
                      • Must have native or near-native proficiency in the Target Language; minimum score of ILR or DLPT 4/4/3
                      • Must have fluency in English; minimum TOEFL score of 94 or a DLPT score of 3/3/3
                      • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in translation, interpretation, analysis, and writing
                      • No education required; Associates or Bachelor degree preferred
                      • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
                      • May be required, and must be willing and able, to complete readiness training that is rigorous, physically demanding, and mentally challenging
                      • May be required, and must be willing and able, to complete a psychological evaluation
                      • Must have familiarity with, and ability to properly conduct oneself in accordance with, local culture and customs, as well as the ability to deal unobtrusively with local populace
                      • Must be able to conduct consecutive and accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation services of on-going conversations, interrogations and intelligence collection activities
                      • Must be able to provide accurate idiomatic translations of non-technical material using correct syntax and expression from English to the source language or vice versa, as well as the ability to interpret/translate using colloquial and slang words and phrases
                      • Must be able to accurately provide the cultural and ethnic context of translation and interpretations, and provide advice to the supported organization or agency on the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, documents, etc.
                      • Must be able to accurately perform document exploitation (scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents)
                      • Experience in, or working with, the military or law enforcement is preferred

                      This position requires the employee to work and live outside the United States.

                      Physical Demands

                      In order to qualify for this position, the employee must meet the customers' mandated fitness standards; the customer reserves the right to approval all contract personnel for work overseas. Medical screening will be performed before training commences.

                      Position Type & Hours of Work

                      This is a full-time position. Average work week is forty (40) hours; work hours can surge up to eighty-four (84).

                      This position requires 100% travel to OCONUS location.
