The ideal Trauma Nursing Educator RN will hold their RN license, Master’s Degree in a health-related field, hold either a CCRN or CNRN as well as their TNCC certification and is preferably a CNS or Advanced practice nurse.
With a recent clinical background in Trauma and Emergency Services, the Trauma Nurse Educator will be up to date on best practices, technology and techniques. To ensure the Level II Regional Trauma Center delivers exceptional care, the Trauma Nursing Educator will research and utilize evidence based practices to develop educational programs offered to both new-hires and current staff. Additionally, the Trauma Nursing Educator will create, assist, and lead community education programs including trauma prevention programs, trauma education for EMTs, and Paramedics/Trauma Triage and Transport.
