ATA Aerospace, LLC is currently seeking an experienced QA Specialist who will be responsible for inspection of flight hardware, flight support equipment, spares and engineering units for compliance with the requirements of the applicable documents that are specified in the work orders. The QA
Specialist may also support assembly or fabrication tasks
Verify that the hardware and materials are in compliance with the procurement documents and engineering drawings.
Verify that the hardware and materials are being handled and stored properly to prevent degradation and/ or damage.
Ensure compliance with the configuration control plan, and verify the configuration of the deliverable hardware.
Ensure the processes defined in the plan, requirement, drawing, and interface control document are being followed by the fabricator and/ or operator.
Work well in a group and by yourself to meet milestone deliveries.
Familiarity with CAD or CAM packages.
Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances on an engineering drawing.
Works with Microsoft Office to effectively communicate with project team members. 9. Perform hands on
Assembly/fabrication of aerospace hardware as needed.
5-10 years of experience as a Quality inspector.
.The experience should include working on one or some of the following equipment (FARO Arm, API Laser Tracker, DCC Global Advantage CMM or equivalent, Leica Laser Tracker).
.Useful software experience would be on the following applications: Verisurf X9, PCDMIS, JobBoss, MQ1 Quality System, and Inspection Xpert.
.Good written and oral communication skills.
Good organizational skills required. Some knowledge of modern PC based computer systems.
Normal office working environment consists of close visual work with numbers/measurements.
Prior experience in the aerospace field as inspector or fabricator is desired.
