This position is responsible for performing the qualified duties of Warehouse & Distribution general labor, with potential qualifications to perform the Operator 2 position duties as a Warehouse Forklift Driver and Palletizer Operator. This position is responsible for performing the duties associated with customer order processing, truck dock management, inventory management, inventory reconditioning, inventory conversions, production receipts, and general palletizer operation. This position’s duties will also include department sanitation, warehouse building and area maintenance, forklift battery maintenance, and any other duties associated with the Warehouse & Distribution operation.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Perform all general labor duties: conversion, reconditioning, truck dock support, palletizer support, cycle counting, order verification, special packaging projects, order picking, and sanitation.
Perform the SAP/computer duties associated with order processing, inventory management, production receipts, inbound receipts, and inventory cycle counting.
As need is identified by Company, perform Operator 2 qualified forklift driver duties; truck loading, unloading, palletizer storage and forklift service associated with battery maintenance.
As need is identified by Company, perform Operator 2 qualified palletizer operator duties associated with the palletizers, palletizer conveyors, slip sheet feeders, stretch wrap machines, and rail dock elevators.
Perform any duties deemed necessary for customer service and company success.
Participate and support all assigned training programs as a trainer.
Participate and support all department and company sponsored safety programs
Position Skills / Requirements
Ability to perform basic arithmetic; i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
Must have basic computer skills; experience with warehouse management system (SAP), desirable
Must be able to lift 50lbs to shoulder level, stand for long periods, twist, bend, stoop and reach above shoulder level repeatedly.
Must have prior forklift experience
Work is usually performed in a variety of settings; office and warehouse work areas. Work areas include working on or near moving forklifts, inside trailers, truck parking areas, forklift maintenance area, and palletizer and conveyor systems. Frequent demands for movement, heavy lifting and exposure to operating machinery, heat, and other significant hazards.
