Develop and implement strategies for sourcing, attracting and recruiting applicants to maintain proper staffing levels.
Directly lead HR activities at our main location as well as oversee activities at our satellite locations
Recruit, interview and aid managers in selecting the best candidates to fill vacancies.
Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
Analyze and participate in wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive compensation levels.
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. Remain current on legislation relating to human resources.
Counsel management on company human resources policies, procedures, labor issues and changes in state and federal laws, ensuring company compliance.
Administer performance reviews and salary increase program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization and with federal and state laws.
Sensitively handle and investigate all employee relations issues to resolution.
Support managers in regard to disciplinary issues (warnings, PIPs, terminations)
Prepare separation paperwork and related documents and conduct exit interviews.
Administer all benefit programs including but not limited to health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance.
Manage the annual insurance renewals. Analyze and recommend plan designs.
Assist employees with insurance questions, concerns and issues.
Act as Plan Administrator for the 401K plan. Process employee deferrals, distributions, loans and any plan amendments as needed to ensure compliance.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5-10 years of well-rounded Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
ADP WorkforceNow experience preferred
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, and customer-service skills
Solid Microsoft Office skills
Ability to travel occasionally
Working knowledge of human resource practices, policies and applicable state and federal laws.
