The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will work within a hospital that is an epicenter of care for patients who need advanced treatment such as open-heart surgery, specialized cancer treatments, trauma care, vascular care, neurosurgery, as well as orthopedic and spinal care. The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will join a highly advanced team of emergency medical professionals who are emergency trained and certified. The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will be responsible for the strategic direction and clinical success within the service line that includes multiple hospital emergency departments along with multiple urgent care sites within the health network. The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will oversee all fiscal responsibilities, quality and process improvement initiatives, and human resource functions of the health network’s emergency service line.
The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will report to the Network Chief of Emergency Services and will oversee all business development, marketing, human resource, and operating functions of the network’s emergency service line and urgent care centers. The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will be responsible for the financial, quality and performance, and clinical success of the emergency and urgent care service lines across the health network. The Nurse Director will have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing along with a Master’s degree in related field or is willing to achieve a Master’s degree within three years of hire. The Nurse Director of Emergency Services should also have at least 5 years of previous managerial experience.
