Position Summary We are looking for an enthusiastic communications professional with strong writing skills and the capability to manage multiple projects. This position will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging communications to support various business needs. This role also manages the corporate intranet by partnering with content creators from other departments. You will work as part of a collaborative team to keep our team members well informed, inspire and promote a connected culture, and strengthen the EG brand internally. The successful candidate will have a service-first mentality with our stores and retail team members. Responsibilities: 1. Manage Company intranet by partnering with content creators from other departments, ensuring accurate and current information, reviewing analytics, publishing news stories, and working with an outside vendor to manage system upgrades. 2. Work on creative content projects, from concept through completion, as outlined by the Communications Manager and internal business partners. 3. Write, edit, and review internal communications content for the Company intranet, internal social media site, internal email/newsletter campaigns, presentations, talking points, and video scripts. 4. Provide support for the day-to-day communication needs of various departments, such as Retail Operations, HR, IT, Marketing, Facilities, etc. 5. Ensure brand and messaging quality and consistency through established guidelines. 6. Work collaboratively with the Visual Communications Specialist to maintain standards on all communication channels. 7. Maintain growth and increase traffic to various communication platforms. 8. Assist in developing and maintaining an internal communications calendar. 9. Assist the Communications Manager in staying on top of best practices and continuously look for ways to improve user experience. Working Relationships: Store team members, Store Manager, District Manager, and various Corporate personnel and vendors
Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or related field Preferred Education: Minimum Experience: 1 year experience in Communications field Preferred Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in Communications field Preferred Licenses/ Certifications and Skills: Skills Requirement: • Confident writer and editor • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to quality • Creative thinking, curiosity, and an enthusiasm for learning • Positive attitude and strong work ethic • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Calm and effective under deadline pressure • Ability to effectively build relationships within the organization to help achieve business goals • Knowledge of social media management • Service mindset Travel: 25% within EG America brand footprint (Coast to Coast US) Hours & Conditions: 40 regular hours/ 8 hour work day, Monday – Friday - however, may at times be required to work outside of normal business hours due to business needs Other: Should have a clean driving record – will need to be approved to drive Company vehicle for field work. Physical Requirement: Ability to stand/walk/ sit as needed during work day; ability to lift 30 lbs. – as needed, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip
