Summary: Under the direction of the Nurse Director, functions as a professional by utilizing the nursing process in caring for patients from admission to discharge. Is responsible for incorporating general, age-specific and unit specific competencies into the care provided and is responsible for adherence to Marlborough Hospital standards and standards in accordance with the licensure of Registered Nurses by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and American Nursing Association The Diagnostic Imaging Interventional Registered Nurse will have demonstrated expertise in nursing process, provides nursing care to clients incorporating current nursing practice skills, communication strategies, current research and evaluation skills.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Current Massachusetts licensure. Current BLS & ACLS certification. Conscious sedation certification and critical care ventilator experience. Documented continuing education/inservices in current practices and trends in nursing care. Maintains a working knowledge of Radiology procedures and radiation safety. Meets all requirements of the registered nurse job description. Computer skills preferred. Possesses good interpersonal skills including tact, discretion and diplomacy. Demonstrates ability to work effectively and cooperatively with individuals and groups, i.e., patients/families, and peers. Possesses integrity, self-direction and flexibility. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prioritization and organizational abilities
