Job Description

We are happy to exclusively present a long-term, contract opportunity with Kelly for an IT Procurement Manager servicing our client in Bridgewater NJ, one of the most prestigious manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter (OTC) products and medical devices in the world.

  • Role will be Remote presently but chosen candidate will need to be within commutable distance to Bridgewater NJ as role will return onsite along the team & IT stakeholders.
  • This is a Senior Level Procurement Manager:  Need true IT procurement experience to work with the business.
  • Pay Based on Experience: $40.00 -$55.00 USD hourly Open to Negotiation - Let’s Talk!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 6-9 years sourcing and procurement experience, preferably within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business (this is senior level procurement).
  • Bachelor’s degree with related experience required.  MS/MBA/CPM/CPIM a plus
  • Experience in IT sourcing and contracting with RFI/RFP/RFQ working with enterprise wide software, hardware, MSP, IAAS and SAAS providers is important


The IT Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing and procurement activities for all IT categories globally and may support other indirect categories as needed.

Will work with procurement colleagues, internal customers, internal cross functional teams, and vendors/suppliers.


  • Responsible for coordinating sourcing and procurement activities for IT including but not limited to software, hardware, MSP, subscriptions telecom and IT services. 
  • Develop/negotiate agreements for technology contracts.
  • Negotiate and review contract commercial terms and manage redlines between stakeholders, Legal, Finance, Procurement and vendors. 
  • Work with the IT Team to identify and manage potential global opportunities. Owns Procurement process from RFP to PO initiation.
  • Provide procurement guidance on company procedures. 
  • The position will also support other indirect categories as needed.  Collaborate with all functions on effectively managing supply base to ensure high level of performance and strong customer service.
  • Responsible for delivering established cost savings targets through competitive bidding process and effective negotiation of supply and service agreements.   Manage all supplier costs and ensure contract compliance.  
  • Responsible for performing all aspects of sourcing and procurement activities in support of major initiatives including stakeholder requirement analysis, identification of bidders list, RFP/RFQ development, conducting competitive bid events, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, risk mitigation, supply/service continuity, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to create thorough business requirements and incorporate in sourcing strategies and resulting agreements. 
  • Persuade internal clients to engage Procurement as a strategic versus tactical partner while communicating Procurement value.
  • Work cross functionally across outside teams through all phases of the procurement process. 
  • Maintain high level of communication across the organization.

  • Proven experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ development, evaluation, negotiations, execution, and contract management. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing procurement strategies which comprehend and contribute to overall business objectives is a must. 
  • Candidate must have applied experience in the understanding of legal issues, contractual principles, and negotiation techniques used in the development of complex contractual agreements. 
  • In addition, the candidate must have the ability to actively participate on regional multi-functional teams, a proven capability in workload management, exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal skills, problem solving skills, and significant experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with e-procurement tools a plus.
