Summary

This position is an hourly position in the plant facility. This position is responsible for operating

production equipment to required tolerances and specifications as dictated by the customer

order.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions, safety

rules/regulations and prepare production reports as needed.

• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, distinguish color, operate

machines, and visually inspect parts produced

• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly

• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent twisting, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing,

walking and standing for 8+ hours per day.

• Physical ability to do work that requires repetitive lifting/pulling/carrying weights ranging

from 1 to 50 lbs.

• Operator set up job according to specifications of work order then produces required

quantity of parts

• Works on different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production

cycle

• Must produce parts within required tolerances and specifications

• Responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in

neat condition

• Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding

• Maintains simple reports on work orders handled and quantities produced

• Willingness to share new ideas to make processes better

• Willingness to work in a team environment

• Regular attendance is required

• May be assigned additional duties/responsibilities as needed

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Preferred: high school graduate or equivalent

• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment

• Ability to learn to use tape measure, calipers, micrometers & propylene/acetylene

cutting torches

• Ability to operate computers that are part of the manufacturing process

• Ability and willingness to cross-train in other production/processing areas

• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with possible mandatory/voluntary over-time

• Willingness to work rotating shifts (if necessary)

• Willingness to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 60 to 120

degrees F

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, inter-department

personnel, and other production employees

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

 

We are hiring a Production Associate to join our team! You will operate machinery and equipment, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain and clean manufacturing machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical failures
  • Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields
  • Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings
