    Job Description:

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION
    Required Education: Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent) required:
    • Medical Terminology
    • Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease
    • Pharmacology
    Preferred Education: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program

    EXPERIENCE
    Preferred/Optional Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred.

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
    Required License/Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with AAMA or RMA certification required within 6 months of employment in position, or LPN or RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin,. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

    Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

    MA's support the Physicians and Allied Providers while caring for our patients residing in Nursing Home Facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in improving the quality of care our patients are receiving in the nursing home. You will travel to local Nursing Homes where you will interact with Nursing Home Facility staff gathering medical records, medication lists and pertinent information needed for the provider when seeing the patient. You will prep charts including medication reconciliation for routine visits, admissions, problem-focused visits as well as discharges. Team Members find this work not only challenging but very rewarding. Participating in care planning and end of life decisions of our geriatric population is a valuable asset to our community and holds opportunities for expansion and growth.
