This position is for a Security CAD Operator to join our Manhattan, NY team.
The CAD Operator shall be responsible for providing complete and accurate packages containing comprehensive detailed installation, mounting and infrastructure drawings, architectural and MEP coordination drawings, diagrams, bulletins and sketches.
Work directly with TRITECH Security design and systems engineers in a professional, cooperative, and courteous manner.
Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings (plant engineering).
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with general contractor and Project Manager to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if service is requested by the application engineer or project manager.
Revise and update drawings from General Contractors to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
Works with Director of Operations on guidelines for installation/ shop drawings which meet and exceed the customer's requirements (bid and submittal phase). Implement these requirements on drawings sent to the customer.
Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings
Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance, etc.
Be capable of working effectively, efficiently and independently without continuous, immediate and direct supervision.
Be responsible for successfully completing assignments on time and within budget.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with diverse groups.
Demonstrate effective planning, organizational and implementation skills which ensure the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
Civilian, military, or technical college certification course in AutoCAD from a certified Institute, preferred but not required.
Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) preferred.
Entry-level proficiency in the use of AutoCAD drafting platforms and software.
Experience with REVIT a plus.
Proficiency in the use of computers and general business and computing software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat software.
