Set-up and removal of molds from injection molding presses. Responsibilities include proper equipment set-up in accordance with production schedule and written procedures. Set-up and removal of raw materials, packaging and finished goods from the production floor as needed. Establishes and optimizes molding setup and operation to yield consistent qualified injection molding production to standard.
Set-up and remove molds from molding machines.
Responsible for the ergonomic set-up and use of all secondary equipment, such as sonic welders, conveyor belts, thermolators, dryers, drill presses, various types of gate cutters, etc.
Demonstrates ability to start up and optimize process of injection molding machine.
Performs preliminary troubleshooting of processes.
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems, plans for and takes corrective action.
Ensures all processes, equipment, safety and housekeeping of the area. Including the cleaning of hoppers, grinders, dryers, and molding presses.
Assist Material handler in the handling, drying, mixing, and verifying of different types of resins.
Maintains a thorough understanding of all equipment.
Mold Storage, maintenance, and identification.
Completes Work Orders to report equipment and tooling problems to proper personnel.
Responsible for maintenance checks on mold setter's trucks, and notifies proper personnel when repairs and maintenance are necessary.
Organizes work for smooth operations.
Assures that established policy, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
Works with Process Engineer to correct difficult processing problems, and pursues continuous improvement of mold and processing systems.
4 years experience or equivalent qualified injection molding training and experience. Thorough knowledge with injection mold design, construction and operation, processes, materials and secondary operations. Knowledge of SPC and Quality systems, GD&T and metrology, basic electricity, hydraulics, and tooling.
