Requisitions any items needed before end of shift.
Checks banquet and prep sheet for future functions and functions for that night.
Makes Chef/Sous Chef aware of any problems during shift (e.g. "86" items, personnel problems, production
Maintains kitchen in acceptable sanitary condition and cleans all line equipment per posted sidework
Closes kitchen and signs in keys at front desk.
Helps out in any area where needed to ensure smooth operation of department.
Is responsible for special assignments or projects as requested.
Knowledge of applicable standards and procedures.
Must be familiar with proper preparation and presentation of international and domestic cuisine.
Must have knowledge, skills and ability in the areas of health/sanitation standards and procedures.
Requires ability to stand/walk for significant periods.
Requires ability to move fingers and hands easily and quickly.
Requires ability to communicate both orally and in writing to guests and staff members.
Requires ability to taste and smell (testing cooked food). Requires reaching, bending, stooping, shaking, stirring, and wiping.
Requires ability to lift between 20-50+ pounds frequently, infrequently lifting up to 100 pounds.
Requires ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
High school graduate or equivalent is required. (6 months to a year experience in cooking and baking experience is preferred)
