Position Summary

Manage/administer company-sponsored employee benefit plans, as assigned, as well as their applicable policies and procedures. Partner with other team members to align benefit strategy/plan initiatives with business goals and Total Rewards objectives/plan administration. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee assigned benefit plan vendor relationships, including vendor performance, account management, review meetings and onsite visits
  • Understand the utilization/financial analysis of assigned benefit plans, recommending strategies to address trends; review rates/renewals and performance guarantee arrangements/results with benefit plan analyst
  • Partner with Health Benefits lead to implement assigned benefit plan changes for company-sponsored benefit groups
  • Partner with Labor Relations team on healthcare benefits for union-represented associates in company-sponsored healthcare benefit plans, including implementation, administration, and communication
  • Partner with Associate Communications team and other benefits plan team members to develop, implement and manage assigned benefit plan communication materials, including internal and external communications
  • Ensure compliance of federal laws to include, but not limited to Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Internal Revenue Code applicable to assigned benefit plans
  • Understand the laws and their impact to the plans working closely with internal and external legal counsel to develop required notices, plan amendments, plan documents and other required documentation
  • Work with division HR teams and Total Rewards managers, and leave specialist to administer assigned benefit plans
  • Travel to conferences and vendor facilities for meetings, as needed
  • Conduct required year-end processes of assigned benefit plans
  • Partner with Legal to file requests for additional registered shares with the SEC as needed.

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the administration of employee benefit plans
  • Any proven management/leadership experience
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-up and follow through skills
  • Independent decision-making abilities
  • Strong ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years previous benefits administration specifically in assigned benefit plans
  •  

    Education Level: Bachelor's Desired
    Required Travel: Up to 25%
