POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Services Manager is responsible for integration, measurement, analysis, vetting, and recommendations of operational initiatives that have moved from project to test phase. This position will coordinate with the Cross Functional Team and the Operations Team to implement the project into a testing phase. Additionally, this position is responsible for initiating and coordinating structured rollouts and ongoing implementation of company programs. This position is also responsible for becoming an expert on all aspects of Portillo's restaurant operations, training tools and programs. This role will ensure all programs enable our company Purpose, Values and business strategy. This is a collaborative role that will work cross-functionally with the restaurants and various support center departments to understand business issues and collectively develop effective solutions. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Enable our Purpose to create lifelong memories by igniting the senses with unrivaled food and experiences: -Work with Cross Functional team to stay updated on the potential project lists for the organization and helps provide insight of the ability of the field to implement. -Provide strategic feedback and creative solutions on broad ranging issues including strategy, project initiatives, process and enhance organizational growth and superior performance. -Work closely with restaurant operations business leaders to obtain feedback, adjust, and finalize process and procedure of operational initiatives before they become company-wide rollouts. -Lead the company-wide rollout and field communication process based on organizational strategic objectives and defined timelines. -Maintain and socialize across the organization the quarterly company calendar. -Develop and implement operational practices with company values in mind to ensure organization effectiveness, clear communication, and sound operational excellence. Family: Work together to make everyone feel at home, and we step up when someone needs help -Build and retain strong relationships with the restaurant business partners- Director of Operation, Market Manager and General Manager to implement tests and gather feedback. -Work with restaurant locations on a regular basis to evaluate testing initiatives to find best practices. -Partner with General Manager and Market Manager to develop plans to address short- and long-term operational needs for the organization. Builds the master plan for initiative process and then manages the process partnering with other departments, such as, Cross Functional team, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, IT, and HR for the time bound piece of operational test to final solution. -Responsible for the coordination, communication, and success of integrating projects in the test restaurants. -Partners with project leaders to manage the follow up after the launch of tests providing a systematic and consistent approach to operational initiatives. Including project goals, budget management, measurements, cadence of data review, meetings with department key players, timelines, and next step post-test and final review of goal objectives. -Creates and coordinates operational initiative plans and is accountable for keeping the plan within the appropriate budget and timeline. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Director of Operation Services and leads and manages the General Managers/Market Managers as a direct business partner. The Operation Services Manager interacts with executive and senior leadership, other leaders, as well as Operations, Accounting/Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources and Legal. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Educational Level/Certifications Bachelor's Degree in business or related field preferred Minimum Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 3-5+ years of related experience as a Restaurant Leader. 3+ years of people management experience and leading teams. Experience implementing change in a dynamic environment, managing large projects, and implementing program role outs preferred. Excellent leadership with a track record of developing and maintaining high performing teams. Strong presentation skills. Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization and prioritization capability. Exceptional ability to build consensus across a wide range of constituents. Travel Requirement May travel up to 50% depending on market support and operational needs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient in use of Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point Training facilitation Small/Medium group presentation skills Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of the organization (ex: Restaurant Team Members, General Manager/Market Manager, and Restaurant Support Center Team Members). Educational Level/Certifications: One or more of the following certificates/credentials are recommended: -Project Management - PMP Work Experience and Qualification: Multi-unit, restaurant industry, retail experience.
