Restaurant ManagerSUPERVISES DIRECTLY:
N/APurpose for the Position:
This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of coffee extraction. This includes, but is not limited to, espresso extraction, pour-over technique, French press preparation, batch brewing, and many other facets of the coffee industry.Essential Responsibilities:
-Market, sell, and serve all meal items in a courteous and friendly manner.
-Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team and maintain quality.
-Display working knowledge of all menu items and prices including the ability to speak about each individual coffee that is served to customers and co-workers.
-Distinguish and articulate the different coffee notes, flavors, smells, etc. to guests.
-Complete side work.
-Verbally receive and call back guest orders in a friendly manner.
-Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests.
-Accurately rings sales orders into cash register and counts back change to customers in a courteous and friendly manner, following all safe cash handling procedures.
-Other duties as assigned or as needed by Direct Supervisor. To do this kind of work, you must be able to:
-Must have a good understanding of what coffee is and where it comes from.
-Ability to make change quickly and accurately.
-Must have proficiency in using a Point Of Sale system.
-Previous food service experience a plus.
-Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines.
-Behave with integrity, honesty, and is open with guests and fellow associates.
-Develop effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and agencies.
-Able to adapt to new procedures with ease.
-Willingness to participate in continuous education and advance learning opportunities to fine tune skills and craft.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended time period. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.Environmental Conditions:
