    This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

    Annual Salary:

    • Level II - $41,874.88 + Full State Employee Benefits

    Position will primarily work from home.  Position may require extended work hours, including weekends and on-call hours.

    Basic purpose:  Positions in this job family are assigned responsibility for conducting internal and external audits and field investigations and performing federally or state mandated quality control audits to evaluate the effectiveness of agency programs.  Some positions will perform follow-up reviews and advocate for clients and program changes. Duties include investigating welfare fraud and employee violations of agency policy, regulations and applicable state and federal laws.  Some positions in this job family will conduct investigations and inquiries to protect the rights of clients, act as client advocate and file grievances on behalf of clients.

    Job Responsibilities:  

    • Position is responsible for case accuracy determination of initial, recertification, closure, and denial SNAP actions to measure the efficacy of the SNAP programs and the state's adherence to federal policy and procedures.  
    • Each reviewer maintains a caseload of complex and difficult audits which require personal interviews with clients and collateral contacts conducted in person, via video conferencing, and by phone. This position requires regular, and sometimes extensive, travel within the state and an ability to maintain varied work hours as needed. 
    • Candidates must have superior time management skills, a willingness to adapt to changing situations and the ability to work independently. A thorough knowledge of both Federal and State SNAP policy is needed, as is the ability to clearly document one’s findings and analysis of each review for both federal partners and other agency staff. 

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Social Services Inspector, Level II - A bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience in investigation, auditing, social work, juvenile justice, personnel administration, law enforcement or child support enforcement, working with persons with intellectual disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
