As a Supervisor of Operations in Long Term Care, you will provide support to the front line clinical team to remove barriers in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to 1:1 rounding, talent and performance management, internal career navigation and reporting and record management.

LOCATION: Clifton Springs Nursing Home
DEPARTMENT: Long Term Care

o Facilitate appropriate development, coaching and counseling techniques on an ongoing basis and provide ongoing communication/feedback to staff regarding performance.
o Supervise the Unit Secretaries and Unit Assistants on assigned units.
o Participate in weekend and off shift leadership coverage rotation.
o Enforce departmental policies and procedures.
o Initiate counseling disciplinary actions; make additional disciplinary recommendations to Manager. With direction from Managers, train and develop employees and perform evaluations.
o Assist with internal investigations - employee or DOH related.
o Act as Liaison with Nursing Education and the Employee Engagement Manager - Extended Care.
o Understand, anticipate and address staff needs for internal communication and external situations affecting their job performance and attendance.
o Understand internal staffs' career goals. Assist staff with identifying possible educational programs internally and externally for career growth and help with application process as needed.
Reporting and Record Management
o Assist Community Manager with scheduling department staff for 24/7 nursing coverage.
o Manage Kronos account through scheduling, corrections, and notes.
o Review daily logs and intra-office communications. Alert Manager to problems/discrepancies. Ensure follow up on issues.
o Maintain records by assuring that requirements are completed on time and records are updated.
-Employee Records - e.g. attendance, in-services, driver's licenses, health screenings
-Office Records - e.g. Secretarial procedures, staff call lists
o Maintain electronic databases, paper files and records, retrieving information as necessary; may create financial, statistical, narrative and/or other reports as requested.
o May perform various types of business analysis, including accumulating, calculating and formatting information into final reports/recommendations, for action by Manager.
o Assist in budget preparation and monitoring by comparing actual performance to monthly budget and address variances.
o Performs or assists with special projects as needed.
o Performs other duties as required or assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, Social Work or related field, preferred, or
• Combined education and experience with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, Human Resources, Social Work or a related field, preferred.
