These are full-time, full-year positions working with children ages 3-5 at Educare Central Maine in Waterville.
Responsibilities include supporting implementation of OWL and other curricula through a team teaching approach as well as individualizing for diverse learners. Working within a team and partnering with parents to support family goal setting, children's health outcomes, and school readiness is also an essential component of this position.
Teacher Assistant Requirements: An Associate's Degree in Early Care & Education, must be eligible for Ed Tech certification from the Department of Education, and up to one-year minimum experience in group care setting for children ages 3-5.
Must be able to meet requirements of agency & State Child Care Licensing regulations for background checks, fingerprints, and a physical exam. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, documentation skills, critical thinking skills, computer skills, and group management skills.
