    Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally.  Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital.  We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

    The Middle Office (MO) is part of the Wells Fargo Financial Crimes Operations (WFCO) organization and has the responsibility to oversee the operations of business as usual (BAU) programs to ensure that the processes are running smoothly, issues and questions are addressed timely, and the front line businesses and vendors are keeping an appropriate pace of production.  This team is the escalation point for front line business teams and will be required to promptly direct resolution through root cause analysis or coordination with other teams within WFCO, WFCRC, and other partners within Wholelsale such as Risk Insight & Metrics, Exits, and other support teams.

    This individual will have responsibility for Issue Management and Resolution (both case and program levels) for all Wholesale Lines of Business working closely with the MO Case Level Production team to perform root cause analysis and drive resolution to prevent Periodic Review cases from missing compliance or plan due dates. 

    The ideal candidate will facilitate  status updates in weekly LOB Leadership production calls, highlighting issues, risk and actions required by business partners to resolve issues and have periodic review cases progress in a timely fashion.  Additionally, this individual will work in concert with the MO GURU and SWAT teams to resolve larger more complex issues that are identified that could adversely impact production and the attainment of key service levels as well as be identified as potential Audit or SHRP issues.

    Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

    Other Desired Qualifications
    • Experience in working escalations in an operations environment
    • General knowledge of Wholesale LOBs
    • Issues or Case Management experience
    • Process improvement background
    • Prior risk and governance management experience
    • A sense of urgency while effectively and respectfully driving resolution through partnerships and appropriate accountabilities
    • Strong relationship management skills; ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment
    • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure
    • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
    • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
    • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
    • Confidence when presenting data, recommendations, and results
    • Ability to strategically analyze data and diagnose opportunities and interventions
    • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
    • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point) skills
    • Intellectual curiosity around problem identification and solving
