              Job Description

              Position Summary To ensure the uninterrupted operations of all Credit Union information and communications systems. To assist with project planning and the implementation of new hardware and software systems. General Purpose Maintain and administer the in-house computer system and all electronic communication equipment. Act as Tier 3 technical support for Credit Union computer hardware and software. To provision, install, configure, operate maintain and upgrade as needed all credit union data processing equipment, in both physical and virtual environments. Responsibilities The following are typical duties for this position. These are not exclusive or all inclusive but rather a general outline. Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software. Manage communications and connection solutions. Manage and insure the integrity to host computers and databases. Support, maintain and troubleshoot local area network hardware and software. Manage and administrate telecommunications and its associated hardwaresoftware. Complete monthly, quarterly and annual month end processes, functions and duties. Monitor usage and perform periodic maintenance on the computer hardware and software to ensure efficient operation of the Credit Unionrsquos computer-related assets. Review computer vendor software and hardware enhancements, updates, notices, and use reference and operation manuals. Identify and report to management the operational implications and options. Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of system and network security including the control of user access and passwords. Review system operation and security logs and report any irregularities to management. Serve as a technical advisor to management. Evaluate new data processing applications. Overseeperform computer system upgrades as necessary and installation of new hardware and software. Deploy all host and system security patches and updates as required. Maintain multiple databases and data transfer between systems. Test software installations and upgrades to ensure the integrity and quality of the vendor software. Maintain records of Credit Union-owned hardware and software, and associated licenses and maintenance agreements. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the local and wide area computer network, all electronic communication equipment, and all internet services. Provides assistance to project teams with technical issues and provides on-the-job training to junior staff. Support Credit Union staff regarding software functions and capabilities. Act as primary contact point for hardwaresoftware error reporting to all credit union systems vendors. Responsibilities continued Analyze the nature of software or hardware errors and works in cooperation with the appropriate computer vendor(s) to resolve the errors. Identify data processing exceptions and notify the Information Technology Manager and other appropriate management. Use and extract data from the database via standard system programs and report writer software as needed. Responsible for the generation and delivery of data files to approved third parties as necessary. Maintain updated data processing manuals and documentation. Periodically test disaster recovery plan for the IT area of the Credit Union. Attends schools, conferences, seminars, etc. to continue professional development. Participate in Diamondrsquos community fundraising events. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Demonstrated dedication to providing exceptional member service. Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science or related field. Four plus years of Information Technology experience, preferably in a credit unionfinancial environment. Two plus years of experience in system administration in a UNIX or Windows operating system environment, Microsoft Active Directory and virtualization, VMware preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel between branches. Available to work Thursday and Friday evenings, Saturdays, and be periodically available on an ldquoon-callrdquo basis. Reporting to this position No direct reports Compliance Required to complete yearly compliance training and testing of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensure safe-guarding member information and perform annual audits as part of adhering to the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act.
