    We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our US team, working directly with our US Business Development Director, US Managing Director and US Leadership Team to drive new sales.

    You will source new opportunities and manage a new sales pipeline to drive conversion. You will help manage a variety of proposal responses and pitches, working with the full spectrum of The Social Element teams and employees along the way.  Overall, you will have fun, you will work hard, and you will likely travel a bit.

    The Perfect candidate: 

    • You have 3+ years of experience, most of which should be directly in a marketing/digital/social agency business development context
    • You are a “door opener” ready to bring new opportunities to the table
    • You've been in the same room with  Fortune 500/1000 brands, and know how they work/think
    • You're incredibly smart, charismatic, and people love working with you
    • You're a fountain of great ideas, and know how to translate them into well-written concepts and proposals
    • You have the potential to be confident and poised in a pitch, and would be comfortable in that setting
    • You understand the evolving landscape of social media
    • You're highly organized, task-oriented, and self-motivated
    • You come with contacts that can help drive sales

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Converting sales from awareness to action
    • Qualifying  inbound sales opportunities
    • Building bespoke solutions by working collaboratively with our Business Development, Strategy, Creative, and Account teams 
    • Managing sales opportunity weighting, and conversion reporting

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Qualifying inbound sales leads
    • Working closely with other departments to create the right solution for your prospects
    • Understanding profitability goals to make business decisions
    • Creating new business proposals
    • Coordinating and participating in new business pitches
    • Providing sales reports, including sales pipeline and conversion
    • Internal team collaboration to find the correct services and cost models for varying solutions
    • Attend client events, networking events, and other new business opportunities 
    • Work with Marketing to execute promotions by providing both project and administrative management to ensure success

    This position is remote based, with the demand of traveling to new business pitches and other events as needed.
