The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.
Role Overview
The Comcast Business Controllers team is primarily responsible for developing, implementing and managing financial and operational controls. The team is made up of 6 core areas: Business Assurance, Government Programs, Compliance, Revenue & Expense Accounting, Billing, Collections and Business Data Intelligence. The Co-op role will primarily support Business Assurance and Government Programs, however there are many cross-functional opportunities across the core areas of the group that they will be exposed to.
The two core areas the Co-op will be focused are Business Assurance and Government Programs. On the Business Assurance team, the Co-op will be responsible for assisting with root cause analysis of financially impacting process and control gaps identified through audits, inquiry or walkthroughs. On the Government Programs team, the Co-op will be responsible for assisting with federal & state subsidy calculations, government contract & billing reconciliations, and process & system control support for our federal government business.
