As a Security Associate within PNC's Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
As a Security Associate under the Security Data Analytics team, you will represent multiple teams across PNC's Enterprise Technology and Security Organization. The team leverages cutting edge technologies to perform risk analysis through statistical profiling, inference, classification, clustering, and predictive analysis with the goal of using artificial intelligence (AI) to actively identify risks and cyber-attacks with minimal false positives.
The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in understanding, processing, extracting value, and communicating data.
•Conducts analysis using business intelligence and Security toolsets to improve overall security posture of the organization. Help ingest, store, cleanse and analyze cyber security data and assist internal uses in accessing and understanding this data
•Works closely amongst various Security Operations teams to provide meaningful metrics that support key decision making.
•Works on teams of Data Scientists and Engineers to improve our cyber risk scores. Work with Product Managers and other internal stakeholders to provide data driven insight into our project planning
•Builds systems to monitor the performance of our Cyber Risk Scores and make suggestions for improvements
•Reviews investigations prepared by Security Specialists to ensure decision making is appropriate and documented. Ensures narratives are complete, accurate, and comply with external guidance and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the following:
•Experience using business intelligence toolsets (e.g. Tableau).
•Knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain, and NIST Cyber Security Framework. and ISO/NIST standards related to information technology
•Understanding of security technologies including, but not limited to, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) solutions.

Software Security Assurance - Knowledge of and the ability to detect and prevent data security vulnerabilities of coding throughout the software development life cycle within software development organizations.
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
