          Job Description

          HICO America, with headquarters in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and facilities in Los Angeles and Greensburg, PA, Memphis TN, is part of the Power Systems business unit, in the Industrial Performance Group of the Hyosung Corporation, a large publicly traded corporation based in Seoul, South Korea. HICO is an ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company, with primary business in power system products. Project Manager 1: THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Monitor, maintain, and develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, cost reporting and control and allocation of available resources. Coordinate site work, including subcontract work, such as civil and erection. Coordinate work (including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, etc.) Negotiate price/delivery and other terms and conditions of major project components. Serve as primary customer contact on assigned projects. Meet with customers to identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Determine project scope and objectives. Ensure that all customer commitments are met. Oversee all project cost including accurate forecasts to insure projects are within budget. Identify, track, and expedite resolutions of problems while keeping management informed when appropriate. Manage safety and site issues on assigned projects. Prepare project status reports and keep management, customers, and others informed of project status and related issues. Organize kick-off meetings, both internally and externally. Travel to customer project sites and vendor sites as required. Coordinate invoicing. Coordinate successful close of project. Handle warranty claims. Maintain customer correspondence. Enter and track customer commitments. Conduct customer project review meetings and publish minutes of meetings. Manage multiple projects at one time. Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures. Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Turnkey Group through positive interactions with other departments, vendors, and customers. EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, plus minimum of three years turnkey project management experience, or equivalent education and experience. Developed verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate, emphasizing MS Office products and Microsoft Project PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Ability to use PC and office equipment. Ability to perform analysis related to technical, commercial and financial matters. Ability to communicate effectively to perform work.
