The Business Development Partner will primarily seek out new advertiser/client relationships via a structured sales process to further expand our reach in the online performance marketing industry. The strong focus of the role is on bringing in and establishing new advertiser relationships and utilizing the agencies' divisions to create new opportunities.
The Business Development Partner must thrive in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment. Our Business Development Partners represent the front lines of acquiring advertiser distribution. He/she should be self-motivated, excel at relationship building, and analyzing marketing campaigns. This position provides high earning potential for candidates looking to take the next step in their career in a growing industry.
Deliver proactive account management by providing business solutions to our existing and new partners as well as offering ideas/methods of increasing revenue through unique marketing programs
Aggressively recruit new advertisers/clients
Plan, strategize and conquer new markets with the support of a highly innovative marketing team
Identify key advertisers in the global markets and close deals to secure budgets
Research and work with clients on efficient methods of optimizing their revenue
Actively consult with partners on an ongoing basis to help exceed their revenue goals through recommendations and implementation of best practices around online marketing programs
Meet and exceed monthly revenue goals
Prepare sales reports to track, analyze, and forecast the revenue opportunities for clients
Optimize clients and apply problem-solving skills when needed
Keep abreast of competition and issues within the performance marketing industry, relevant products, and relevant markets
Attend and participate in team meetings, training seminars, and workshops
Frequent travel to multiple industry trade-shows and conferences worldwide (3-6 shows per year)
3 - 5 + years of sales, management or business development experience for a performance marketing agency or ad/affiliate network
Strong understanding of performance marketing industry, trends, terminology, and channels
Proven track record and experience in advertiser and/or affiliate management/client services for a performance marketing company or advertising agency
Successfully prospect, prioritize, and excel in selling/cold calling advertisers
Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills in multiple languages to close deals
Prioritize and manage multiple accounts/relationships/tasks concurrently
Must be able to think creatively "on your feet" and drive deals to successful completion with a consultative approach
Positive, team-oriented personality with the desire, ability, and drive to continuously excel with minimal supervision in the online marketing industry
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with external clients
Ability to manage tight workflow, structure and organize projects and meet previously arranged deadlines
Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills
Knowledge of industry standards for tracking systems and CRMs a plus
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
Base salary will be commensurate with experience and ability, with a highly competitive commission structure.
