Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon and is the global, cloud computing leader. To support our rapid growth, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us be the best Cloud services provider in the industry, this is your chance to make history. AWS HR is looking for dynamic and motivated self-starters graduating from selected bachelor's degree programs in 2020 to join our team in a leadership development program (LDP) designed to prepare you to become HR leaders at AWS.
New hires will have a 24-month roadmap consisting of one 12 month specialist assignment (Employee Relations, Inclusion and Diversity, Learning & Development, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Operations, or HR Business Intelligence) and one 12 month customer-facing assignment as a HR Partner (HRP). Participants will experience the full annual cycle applicable for both Specialist and HRP functions and have the chance to "dive deep" while growing in the ability to "think big." A key component of the 24-roadmap will be the development of an individual career growth plan that identifies focus areas for the second assignment and post-program assignment.
During the specialist assignment, participants will take on client-specific projects furthering AWS HR strategic initiatives with the objective being to create programs that tackle critical business priorities. Participants will work with their leaders and coaches to identify real-time priorities that align to their career growth plan.
During the HRP assignment, participants will act as the frontline consultant to the business supporting managers in creating a positive employee experience and offering the best HR advice on people matters. They operate and are seen as subject matter experts, provide guidance on programs, processes and policies; and offer strong, credible and compelling advice to business leaders on how to manage their team. They are committed to collaboration with multiple HR Business Partners and HR Specialists who support various businesses. They will act as an influential partner in helping managers with talent management processes, people development, and implementation of organizational changes.
