In pursuit of our goal to manage cancer across all stages of the disease, Guardant Health has launched two liquid biopsy-based tests, Guardant360 and GuardantOMNI, for advanced stage cancer patients, and is developing programs for recurrence and early detection, called Project LUNAR. Since its launch in 2014, Guardant360 has been used by more than 5,000 oncologists, over 40 biopharmaceutical companies and all 27 of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network centers.
(Covering the West Coast territory; ideally in California. This is a remote position)
In this role, you'll be responsible for driving business development for Guardant Health's Biopharma team on the West Coast of the United States. You will help grow the BioPharma business as one of the East team's key business builders, expanding existing relationships and engaging potential customers by sharing Guardant's platform and capabilities to build new relationships for collaborations with Guardant.
You will use your existing network to help the business development team expand Guardant's partnerships further, and make new connections through networking, introductions and conference attendance.
You will work closely with leaders in drug development companies across biomarker research, translational oncology, clinical development and commercial, educating them on ctDNA applications and forging relationships to provide services using Guardant's digital sequencing platform.
Collaboration is a key success factor. You'll work closely with other members of the BioPharma team and functions within Guardant Health, including Legal, Product Development, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Alliance Management, Regulatory and Finance. People should look to you to partner and problem solve across groups, and you must be able to influence and shape opinions and help teams reach decisions and deliver on customers' needs in a timely fashion, while often remote from corporate headquarters.
You are patient-focused and motivated to grow the business, not just your patch.
You have extensive business development experience as well as expertise in some or all of oncology, genomics and diagnostics. You bring a broad network across biopharma companies in oncology.
You can successfully build relationships with biopharma customers. You've developed and closed successful collaborations and brought in repeat business from multiple customers.
You are able to tease apart customers' needs and motivations and can effectively influence them. You have strong presentation skills.
You are self-starting, pro-actively chase opportunities, and able to work with the broader team to bring the best of the company to a customer.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
