    Job Description

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK - SPECIFIC The Subcontractor will provide an operations specialist that has the knowledge and proven experience required to provide oversight support that conforms to guiding regulations and contract requirements such as DOE O 226.1B, DOE O 227.1A, DOE O 414.1D, and DOE-STD-1197-2011. The specialist should have an extensive background in Corrective Action Management with experience evaluating the adequacy of identified or completed corrective actions, and the quality of root or apparent cause analysis reports. They should also have experience performing independent and/or management assessments. The candidate must be able to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with peers, staff supporting MSA subcontractors, and customer base. This includes communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, exercising sound judgment and discretion, as well as working well under pressure and efficiently on short turnaround assignments. Specific duties and responsibilities include: • Maintain the MSA corrective action management process through entry, update and authority for closure of issues in the IIF system • Develop/maintain performance indicators • Review IIF closure documentation for completeness and accuracy, authority to accept/reject corrective actions • Review and provide feedback on completed Causal Analyses for completeness and procedural compliance • Perform trend analysis of MSA operating data and IIFs • Perform independent assessments as assigned • Perform other related duties as assigned 4.0 QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Arts or Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 5 years experience in Corrective Action Management • 1 year of nuclear experience, such as previously working at DOE site • Familiar with Windows and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Proven experience performing and evaluating statistical trend analysis • Good written and verbal communication skills • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously to effectively manage assignment and support initiatives Desired Qualifications • Qualified in Root Cause Analysis • Experience in Event Investigation • Knowledge of Hanford operations and the MSA Mission
