Position Summary: The Financial Systems Architect is responsible for the design and development of financial applications within the organization. The Financial Systems Architect conducts detailed research on system capabilities, provides oversight for feature implementation, and documents system roadmaps. The Financial Systems Architect is responsible for developing best practices for applications, testing, and IT General Controls (ITGCs). The ideal Financial Systems Architects is a thought leader capable of analyzing and delivering solutions for complex business processes. Responsibilities: • Collaborates with business partners to develop a thorough understanding of business procedures and requirements. • Provides peer review for project implementation, testing, and deployment. • Provides mentorship and training to members of the Application Management team. • Identifies methods to improve system fault tolerance, monitoring, and alerting. • Maintains a thorough understanding of vendor roadmaps including software releases, new products, and product enhancements. • Aligns system recommendations and best practices to the EG America framework for IT General Controls (ITGCs), including but not limited to managing user access rights and change control policies. • Prepares research findings and ad-hoc reporting at the request of the technology leadership. Required Skills • Strong documentation discipline • Ability to analyze complex business requirements to develop actionable solutions. • Demonstrates proficiency with technology implementations Working Relationships: The Financial System Architect regularly interacts with the IT Leadership team, Director of Application Management, members of the Application Management team, and other roles within the IT department. The Financial System Architect will also work closely with business partners.
Requirements
Minimum Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Related Discipline Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Related Discipline Minimum Experience: 7+ years of end user support or consulting experience within the application of experience Preferred Experience: 10+ years of end user support or consulting experience Licenses/Certifications: Microsoft Technology Associate, Infrastructure (ITIL) Foundations Soft Skills: Strong communication and documentation skills, desire to learn, effective team member Hours & Conditions: 40+ hrs/week Driving Requirement: None Travel: Minimal Physical: Minimal Other: Other / Miscellaneous
