Texas Oncology is looking for a PRN Phlebotomist to join our team! This position will support all three Texas Oncology Round Rock Location. The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience: High school Diploma or Equivalent
Great with multitasking and interpersonal skills, will be working with various staff
Experience with "hard-sticks"
Excellent customer service skills
What does the position do?
The Phlebotomist under direct supervision, is responsible for the collecting and processing of specimens from patients. Assists with patient flow as needed and will float to different locations.
The essential duties and responsibilities: Properly identifies and bands patients for blood product transfusion.
Processes properly labeled specimens according to our policy and procedures.
Operates designated laboratory equipment as directed.
Travel to various locations in Austin if needed or want to gain more hours.
