Establish strong business relationships with third party administrators and other self-insured employers which may include Health Plans, Health Exchanges, Union Labor Funds, Health Care Coalitions and Health Care Consultants. Responsible for selling and assisting in the implementation and management of Prescription Benefits Management (PBM) Services, Mail Order Pharmacy Services, Specialty Pharmacy Services, Clinical Programs and other sales opportunities while working within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Essential Job FunctionsGenerate and identify self-insured prospects in a defined region and secure meetings with key decision makers including senior HR/benefits managers, C-Suite and brokers/consultantsDevelop and update a complete database of clients and contacts; secure new business in accordance with annual sales plan and annual targetsCoordinate client management from commitment through contractCoordinate product demonstrations; define key product needs aligned with specific client opportunityUpdate territory management tools; report sales activity to management and document activity in SalesforceWork with KSP divisions on lead generation and follow upDevelop and execute annual sales plan for the defined region including marketing plan, promotions plan, key stakeholder/relationship plan and expense budgetGenerate, maintain and communicate a full pipeline of new business prospects in the defined region through proactive prospectingEstablish a network of sales contacts to provide a steady stream of RFPs and other sales opportunities; follow up timely with all custom RFP responses to potential groupsMaintain strong familiarity with PBM competition, particularly any new competitive issues and products/ servicesMaintain close contact with account coordinators, senior account manager and implementation and operations coordinator to smoothly facilitate the implementation process and management of accountsComplete sales at profitable rates and move prospects smoothly into implementation; meet established sales goals as identified by leaderProvide management and coaching support to KPP support personnel; provide feedback to senior account manager and manager, PBM sales and services on performanceInterview, select, hire, train and assign associatesInitiate, contact and follow-up on sales meetings with qualified group health plansParticipate in variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policiesPerform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirementsPerform other related duties as assignedMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications High School Diploma or GED5+ years successful sales experience in the PBM or employee benefits industryAbility to strengthen team performance by sharing information, supporting sales and marketing activities and assisting managementAbility to utilize and maintain approved database tools for contact management and coordination of sales activitiesAbility to represent company in a professional manner and foster a positive reputation and image in the marketplaceAbility to effectively manage competing priorities
