      Job Description


      JOB SUMMARY
      The Supplier Enablement Lead is responsible for working with Charter Category Managers and Business Units, current Charter suppliers and future Charter suppliers to understand and document existing supplier enablement and management processes in order to define the scope, responsibilities, methodology and approach required to enable the supplier base on the Ariba P2P platform. Additionally, the Supplier Enablement Lead is responsible for defining the scope, responsibilities, methodology and approach required to enable and maintain catalogs on the Ariba P2P platform.
      As a member of the Procurement Team, the Supplier Enablement Lead serves as an Ariba Solutions expert on supplier and catalog enablement and management. He/or she is responsible for evaluating business process policies, formulating recommendations for policy change related to supplier and catalog management and obtaining approval for any policy change.

      MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

      Create Supplier Enablement and Catalog Management strategy, policy and procedures

      Build solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Charter and externally via Ariba/industry resources)

      Synthesize learnings into a logical story using quantitative/qualitative data and/or sound reasoning

      Apply a broad knowledge of spend management applications/solutions

      Establish credibility as a conduit for supplier and catalog expertise with customers (e.g., positive customer feedback)

      Work with Procurement Lead and other functional areas to determine what resources/skills are needed (e.g., accounts payable, legal, category managers, IT) and brings them in as necessary, as applied to Supplier Enablement

      Maintain regular communication with team members (e.g., face-to-face, via voicemails, emails) so everyone understands what the others are working on

      Proactively collaborate with teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution delivery (e.g., change in scope)

      Communicate to effectively resolve problems or issues. Be proactive in communication (i.e., face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent than emails)

      Communicate Supplier Enablement Program benefits, requirements, and timelines to stakeholders

      Drive suppliers to register on the Ariba Network

      Communicate the processes for order receipt, delivery, catalogue updates and invoicing with the supplier

      Train suppliers in the use of Purchase Order flip, Advance Ship Notices, Order Confirmation, Invoice against Contract, CSV Invoicing

      Lead supplier connectivity and invoice validation testing

      Lead Technical and commercial validation of the catalogs

      Assist in loading catalogs into the Ariba system

      Communicate to Business Units and P2P program lead as catalogs and suppliers become available

      Import and Export Catalog Data

      Run Scheduled Tasks

      Work with Procurement to establish metrics, frequency and distribution of reports


      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
      Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

      Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
      Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
      Broad knowledge of spend management strategies and/or procurement, sourcing, category management, vendor performance management
      Ability to execute with minimal guidance and with strong initiative
      Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale projects
      Strong analytical and organizational skills

      Related Work Experience Number of Years
      Experience with "Big 5" consulting firms or comparable 3-5
      in systems implementation, process re-engineering
      or a related discipline

      Education
      Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or technical discipline




      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
      Demonstrated Project Management or PMP certification
      Experience with Ariba solutions

      Related Work Experience
      Telecommunications/cable industry experience
