The Tanner Dance Fine Arts Preschool program curriculum encompasses all of the art forms: music, dance, visual art, drama, creative writing, and literature. We are looking for a preschool teacher to join our Fine Arts Preschool team who has experience and knowledge in teaching music to preschool students ages 3.5-5yrs old. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in both a musical background, and understanding of early childhood development. As part of the Fine Arts Preschool team, the candidate would also be involved in the morning logistics of the program with rotating assignments of prepping/setting up supplies, cleaning up supplies/activities, welcome students with gathering activities, and classroom management abilities. Applicant would have a creative mindset, be a team player, and willing and able to collaborate with the preschool team on events, activities, fieldtrips, and the day-to-day.
• Teach in-person early childhood education music classes to preschoolers age 3.5-5yrs old.
• Able to teach on-line early childhood education music classes
• Come prepared each day with lesson plans suitable for preschool aged students
• Collaborate with preschool staff in planning and executing school events, daily logistics, and be a part of the teaching team of teachers.
• Assists with daily preschool logistics in setting up/cleaning up of preschool supplies, snack, activities, class materials, etc
• Attend weekly faculty meetings
• Attend and conduct parent teacher conferences 2x's in school year
• Comply to Tanner Dance safety protocols, cleaning, and sanitizing of teaching supplies
Musical knowledge and background experience for teaching early childhood music education classes appropriate for students ages 3.5-5yrs of age. Knowledge and experience in early childhood development. Classroom management skills appropriate for preschool age students. Has a creative mindset and works well on a team-collaborative setting with the Fine Arts Preschool staff of teachers. Has experience teaching music to preschool age students.
