This position is responsible for developing and maintaining prospective and current customers, as well as supporting outside sales and internal processes. All employees are expected to participate in the continuous improvement of Dayton Superior in addition to the areas of responsibility outlined below; these areas are intended to be broad scope and may be changed or revised as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds and maintains customer relationships by telephone, email and face to face meetings. Maintains database of contact activities and reports on status of activities.
Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert to sales
Makes outbound calls to prospective and existing customers by telephone and email to sell products and services in order to meet regional and corporate objectives.
Coordinates information and efforts with the field sales employees
Performs routine quote follow up to determine success or ongoing challenges and tracks competitive market information (pricing, inventory availability, etc) and maintains competitive information database
Develops and maintains a competent knowledge of products and applications to meet the technical needs of the customer base
Works with Customer Service to develop leads and identify sales opportunities
Works with Operations to assist in S&OP – helps to identify large upcoming jobs and market trends

High School degree required. Advanced education preferred. Customer service/inside sales experience preferred. Position requires effective verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal and data entry skills.
