      Job Description



      Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Product & Marketing, the Product Manager of Branded Products will provide direction, leadership and ownership for products in our branded portfolio. This position is located at the Seek Thermal headquarters office in Santa Barbara, CA. Currently a large part of our staff is working remotely. This position will be a combination of remote work at home and in office work on an as needed basis to accomplish key tasks until the company completely returns to the office at which time this role will be located at Seeks HQ.

      • Drive product management activities for your products to support the company's business objectives and meet financial targets

      • Manage and direct all aspects of product decisions over the course of your products lifecycle

      • Work with cross functional stakeholders to develop product strategies and road maps to guide product development and long-term category growth.

      • Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements informed by market research, competition, gaps and opportunities to drive future growth and product success

      • Research and report on market trends and data and analyze categories to inform product direction and strategies

      • Create and own product planning documentation including MRDs, SWOT analysis, business plans, product transition plans, etc.

      • Conduct market research activities to inform product development (focus groups, surveys, market reports, prototype development, field testing, etc.)

      • Interact with customers to determine customer needs for NPD and sustaining product improvements

      • During product development activities, interface with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to balance design and cost tradeoffs while maintaining the right product for the market and customer

      • Prioritize work for multiple projects

      • Align teams by driving product line meetings to complete projects on schedule

      • Work with sales and marketing teams to effectively train and communicate product benefits to the market

      • Coordinate go to market strategies and product launches with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and PR teams


      • Product management experience in consumer electronics products

      • Experience in managing the product lifecycle from launch to end of life.

      • Strong organization and planning skills with attention to detail

      • Drive by data and proficient with the numbers; basic financial acumen, sales and channel understanding, experience using key metrics to track business objectives and performance

      • Ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations

      • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done

      • Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Team player with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while having fun at the same time

      • Good presentation skills

      • ~ 20% travel required

      • Proficient in Microsoft office tools

      • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or other technical field

      • 3+ years of product management experience
