POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

Buchheit Logistics, a diversified carrier of dry bulk and finished goods is looking for a results-driven Operations Manager who will be responsible for the daily operations and process efficiencies to support the strategic plan and profitability of the organization. The qualified candidate will look for new opportunities to further grow the operation, developing and implementing programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations as well as identifying and executing innovative plans to increase company utilization and revenue.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction to the operations and dispatch staff, company drivers, and Independent Contractors. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) hiring and developing staff, growing the business aggressively and profitably, cost control, improved utilization, and evaluation systems to measure goal attainment.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics and or related fields. 5 years' experience in leadership/management role with a solid understanding of transportation and logistics.

Must have excellent communications skills and problem-solving skills and a keen interest in team-oriented approach to managing customer's needs. Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment.
