Assist in the restaurants daily operations to ensure guests receive excellent service and delicious meals. Liaison between front of the house and back of the house to improve overall restaurant operations. Essential Job FunctionsTravel to attend training and assist other restaurantsEnsure that daily restaurant paperwork is completed accurately and timelyComply with alcoholic beverage commission laws/regulationsComply with federal, state, local and company food safety guidelines, food handling guidelines and rules governing sanitation and the cleanliness/maintenance of kitchen/dining room areasSupport a collaborative front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house team and provide ongoing coaching and training to ensure excellent guest service, food quality and consistencyEmpower and inspire team members while upholding company culture and restaurant brand idealsAssist the general manager with attracting and retaining quality, hospitality-oriented team membersControl cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and proceduresCreate an environment focused on hospitality to ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience that results in repeat visits and maximizes cover countEnsure seamless execution of front-of-the-house operations by scheduling associates appropriately and overseeing operational flow of guest volumeSupport sales and profit goals by operating within cost of goods and labor productivity guidelines while maintaining great customer serviceAssist with meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actionsProvide daily management of staff, including hiring, retention, scheduling, training, coaching, discipline, associate relations, performance management and policy administration
Minimum Position Qualifications2+ years in a food service assistant manager position or equivalent experience21 years of age or olderProficient point-of-sale knowledgeGeneral understanding of profit and loss, financials, labor, budget, inventory, food cost and orderingProficient with Microsoft OfficeProficient in mixology with knowledge of craft beer and wineAbility to multitask without compromising guest experienceExcellent basic mathematical skillsStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels and associatesAbility to complete and pass food safety training within required timeframesAbility to complete and pass alcohol certification within required timeframesAbility to work in a standing position for an entire shiftAble to reach, bend, stoop, push and lift objects up to 50 pounds
