Supplier Inspection Services, Inc. (SIS, Inc.) provides quality management support services to assist facilitate quality initiatives for our clients. Our help our clients achieve and maintain a high level of quality by enhancing their Total Quality Management services Systems. Our expertise is in both visual and dimensional inspections as well as Quality Engineering support and Technical Representation/Liaison services.
Our clients include manufacturers in the Automotive, Aerospace, Appliance, and general manufacturing.
With facilities and satellite locations across the Mid-West, we provide quality services at our facilities and at our client locations in North America, while supporting manufacturers worldwide.
Quality Assurance Engineers duties will include:
Evaluation and improvement of Manufacturing and/or Testing facilities. This position will require candidate to work independently and on multiple projects concurrently. Formal auditing of internal manufacturing processes will be required as will follow-up with internal leadership concerning action items and qualification tasks. Position will focus generally on internal manufacturing and testing processes.
Performs in advanced arenas of work for the professional field. Independently applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross functional problems.
•A minimum of 3 years' experience in quality and/or supplier quality
•Bachelor's Degree - preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
•Experienced auditor (ISO, TS, or AS) preferred.
•Working knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
•Able to use hand gauges & read drawings.
•Experience with APQP including; PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Capability Studies (Cpk)
•Demonstrated leadership skills with proven problem solving experience and process focus, and a leader of change.
•Must have excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas in for all levels of the organization.
•Excellent presentation skills with solid verbal and written communication abilities.
•Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at a time.
•Experience with advanced problem solving methodologies, e.g., Six Sigma, Shainin Red X, etc.
