Job Description

The Coordinator's role will be to support all Human Resource functions and related administrative functions for the Company's manufacturing location in Toledo, Ohio. This would include support in the areas of recruiting and staffing, as well as cross-training in various administrative duties. This role would also be responsible for the Purchasing duties of the plant as well as managing the Health & Safety areas of the operation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Developing an employee-oriented organization culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, high performance safety and quality.
  • Implementing Human Resource programs and policies as needed by the organization.
  • Manage the Health & Safety initiatives for the Toledo location and collaborate with the plant management team in implementing both existing and new rules and guidelines related to Health & Safety.
  • Managing the Purchasing duties of the plant and collaborating with the Toledo team to ensure timely and accurate ordering of all pertinent materials for the plant.
  • Supporting the Payroll function in the plant and acting as a back-up for that role when needed.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations, employee morale, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns.
  • Developing staffing strategies and implementing programs and plans.
  • Creating employee training and organizational development programs.
  • Support in the recruiting and retention process for all appropriate departments.
  • Insuring that every aspect of Human Resources incorporate the vision, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Supporting the risk management work functions and assisting in developing Health and Safety programs for the staff.
  • Participating as a strategic team member in weekly meetings in order to develop and discuss organizational procedures and policies.
Job Requirements

Education and Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources from an accredited university or institution. PHR or SPHR certification is also required.
  • 1-5 years of Human Resources work experience (Experience in a manufacturing setting is a bonus).
Skills and Specifications
  • Proven project management, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with stand-alone Human Resources software packages.
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • Able to manage multitask work in a strong-paced environment.
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with all employees.
  • On-going strategies for personal growth and development within an organization
  • Ability to travel to other facilities as needed
