The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the Club's HVAC systems and restaurant refrigeration according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance processes to support the achievement of the Club's goals and objectives. The Technician will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -

-Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems and equipment
-Knowledge and experience working on restaurant equipment, exhaust hoods, refrigeration, coolers and freezers
-Must be skilled in all phases of commercial HVAC work including specifications, planning, adjusting, repairing and cleaning commercial systems
-Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
-Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC and refrigeration systems
-Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
-Providing technical direction and training to other employees
-Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
-Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
-Effectively interact in a positive and professional manner and maintain harmonious relationships with vendors, municipal officials and fellow co-workers
-Knowledge of the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals, and products relating to the department
-Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements
-Individual to supply basic HVAC tools, i.e. pressure gauges, volt meters, thermometers
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
-Familiar with Facility Management Software, i.e. Facility Dude
-Ability to understand and follow oral and written direction
-Proficient with written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
-Proficient in reading schematics and plans
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices
-Working knowledge and proficiency in balancing air, coolant and water treatment systems with HVAC protocols
-Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems
-Ability to follow instructions
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions for this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders and crouching. Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and extreme heat or cold. Must have the ability to work in compact spaces such as attics. Must be physically present.WORK EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION
Minimum 2-4 years proven experience as an HVAC Technician and willingness to continue HVAC education.
