    Modern Mill Solar is hiring Energy Specialists-Field Sales Reps based in Lombard, IL. Energy Specialists will sell solar panel systems to homeowners throughout Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Our footprint, like our company and industry, is growing exponentially. This is where you come in! We literally have more leads than we can visit today.

    A scheduling team will set, and vet leads for you, sending you to HOT leads waiting for a presentation about the benefits and massive cost savings of solar and renewable energy.

    We pay you to attend world class training. Some Specialists are raking in $8500/mo by the second week of training. After your 5th sale, you get a company car and are well on your way to upwards of $300,000 a year.

    Ideally, candidates have successfully achieved revenue objectives in a previous outside sales or kitchen table sales role in the renewable energy industry, including solar, windows and doors, roofing, or HVAC.  

    Ideal candidates are successfully able to move leads through the process, and are excellent in building key relationships by finding, securing, and closing new business deals. They LOVE to sell and close deals in person. The best candidates will be goal oriented, focused, and dedicated to being successful in this role. After paid training, Energy Specialists move to 100% commission, with the earning potential of up to $25K per month in commission!  



    • Visits vetted, warm leads as scheduled by the Scheduling Officer.
    • Delivers presentation and potential cost savings to close deals in-person
    • Prospects neighbors and referrals
    • Develops leads through retargeting campaigns
    • Participates in sales meetings and works with field sales and sales management to close business
    • Achieves and/or exceeds sales objectives monthly, quarterly, and annually
    • Meets/exceeds weekly/monthly sales metrics and objectives
    • Uses CRM tool (Zoho) to document all communication and sales achievements 
    • Stellar communication and organizational skills
    • Provides best-in-class customer service with each interaction
    • Completes all other duties as assigned



    ·        Three or more years demonstrated field sales experience required.

    • Ideal candidates will have two or more years’ sales experience in solar, windows and doors, roofing, HVAC, other home improvement, or maybe car sales. 
    • “Kitchen table” sales high preferred.
    • Customer service experience preferred.
    • Must be organized and have strong attention to detail with superior accuracy.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be deemed insurance with a good driving record.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those an individual must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a personal computer or riding/driving in a vehicle.
    • Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity required.
    • Must be able to climb a ladder or step stool to take rafter photos inside homes.
