    Job Level:  Technician 
    Location: Vista, CA
    Reports to: Field Specialist Supervisor
    Hours: 24 hours, 7 days a week/operation hours are M-F 8:00am-5:00pm/multiple shifts 
    FSLA: Non-exempt
    Supervisory status: None
    Travel: 50-75%

    Job Summary: The Field Specialist will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every commercial and residential customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. The position requires a results-driven individual to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.
     
    Primary responsibilities:
    • Drives top performance with advanced knowledge of every aspect of residential rooter, drain cleaning, and plumbing projects
    • Maintains existing client relationships by providing outstanding service with strong communications and customer service skills
    • Applies working knowledge of local city codes
    • Educates clients and technicians on plumbing projects, while creating processes and training opportunities for      department technicians
    • Designs plumbing projects for optimal safety and efficiency
    • Documents services performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
    • Completes all tasks in accordance with the Company’s quality and safety standards 
    • Consistently updates job knowledge and stays current with best practices and equipment safety procedures
    • Manages, develops, motivates, and monitors department employees
    • Other duties as assigned

    Tasks:
    • Responds and acts quickly in emergency situations
    • Facilitate communications between departments and clients in regard to projects sold.
    • Documents necessary repairs and present estimates for approval to potential clients. 
    • Communicates effectively with Dispatch and CSR regarding job scheduling  
    • Provides change order when a scope of work exceeds the terms of an original job contract
    • Provides financing options as needed, aids in the loan approval process and collection of funds

    Scope:  
    • Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with supervisor on unusual matters
    • Work is routine and instructions are usually detailed
    • Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring some originality and ingenuity 
    • Monitors and assesses performance of self, other individuals, or the organization (SFP) to make improvements or take corrective action
    • Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or actionable decisions
    • Builds internal and external relationships and supports culture through daily interactions 
    • Performs related duties as assigned

    Background and Experience: 
    • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent education + work experience preferred; degree in related major and additional certification(s) is/are a plus
    • Four (4) years of professional level experience. Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years directly related experience
    • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills
    • Utilizes initiative to problem solve and succeeds in evolving environments
    • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of pipe fabrication to the completion of difficult assignments (if applicable)
     
    Physical Requirements:  
    • Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended period of time
    • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
