Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate FLOATING/FLEXIBLE CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. 

Pay bonus 100.00 extra per week if you work 38 or more hours per week, including a weekend shift. 

A floating/flexible caregiver is one who works in various client homes throughout SW Oakland county. Each time a floating/flexible caregiver works, they are working with a client where they are needed most. The caregiver may end up working with the same client all week, or may with a different client every day, depending on staffing needs. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Transportation to appointments 
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Bathing and personal care
• Alzheimer's Care

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
 

• At least one solid year of experience working with different care levels is required (companion, personal care, hospice) 
• Have the ability to go to work on short notice
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• 21 years of age or older (bonding purposes)
• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
• Willing to service a client that may have pets in the home
